Dan spent his twenties on excavation and utility crews around Wyandotte County, then ran sewer work for a larger contractor for years. He kept seeing the same thing he had grown up with, just in reverse: a homeowner with a backup gets told the whole line has to be dug up and replaced, when a camera inspection would have shown one broken joint under the parkway that could be fixed in a day. Too much digging in one house, not enough answers in another.
