Repair the failure, not the whole yard

Most sewer lines do not fail all at once. They start with a cracked joint that lets in a few roots, a slight offset where one section of clay tile settled, or a low spot that holds water and collects grease and paper. Each of those creates a place for waste to catch, which is why the same drain keeps clogging no matter how many times it is cleared. Sewer line repair means finding that specific weak point and correcting it so the line flows the way it was built to.
Our repair work starts with a camera inspection to locate the damage and measure its depth. From there we recommend the smallest repair that will actually hold: a spot repair through a single excavation, a trenchless liner or section replacement, or, when the line is too far gone, a full replacement. Kansas City, KS laterals are often 8 to 12 feet deep under older streets and parkways, so knowing exactly where to open the ground saves real money.

The right repair depends on the type of failure, the pipe material, and how much of the run is affected. These are the conditions we see most often in Kansas City area sewer lines.
Clay tile and older cast iron crack from soil movement, heavy loads above, and age. A short crack can often be spot-repaired or lined; a shattered section is cut out and replaced.
Sectional clay pipe shifts at the joints as the ground settles. The resulting lip catches solids and gives roots an easy way in. We reset or replace the affected joint and seal it.
Roots enter through any gap and grow into a mat that blocks flow. Cutting them restores flow for a season; sealing the opening they came through is the actual repair.
A section that has sunk below grade holds standing water and debris. Depending on length, we regrade and replace that section so the line drains fully.
When the pipe has caved in, nothing gets through. The failed section is excavated and replaced, and we inspect the rest of the line so you are not back in the same spot next year.

Planning ranges only, not a quote. Depth, pipe material, surface restoration, permits, and how much line is damaged all change the final number. You get a firm written estimate after the camera inspection.

We locate the failure to the foot and repair what is broken, rather than defaulting to a full replacement.
Excavated spot repair, trenchless lining, pipe bursting, or full replacement. We recommend the one that fits your pipe, your yard, and your budget.
You see what we found on camera, what we plan to do, and what it costs, in writing, before anyone picks up a shovel.
If the same drain keeps backing up, the line has a defect that cleaning will not fix. Let us find it and repair it once.
Free — no obligations

We start with what you are seeing: backups, slow drains, odors, wet spots in the yard, or a prior inspection report.
We run a camera through the line, record the damage, and mark its location and depth at the surface.
You get a written estimate that explains the failure, the repair we recommend, and any less invasive or lower-cost alternatives.
We pull the required permit, protect the work area, make the repair, and restore the surface as agreed.
We camera the finished repair and run water through the line so you can see it is flowing before we leave.
